When I was a little girl I found Reflexology books everywhere I went, and I gravitated to them. It was fascinating to me to see how a spot in your feet could be connected to your heart, and to think that I could actually push a button there to affect it. I found it so intriguing. What's really weird was I don't ever really remember anyone in my family being into alternative holistic healing or any type of spiritual stuff.
When I shared the books and my interest in reflexology with the adults in my life I was told you can't make money with it. So I did the smart thing and decided to become a Mechanical Engineer. I graduated in 2006, and a few years later I had the urge to go back to reflexology. My childhood dreams were knocking on my awareness and I had to answer the call. Looking back I can see the similarities between engineering and Reflexology: the structure is the support for the entire system, and the foundation sets the stage for that structure to be in integrity. The feet are the foundation of a body--the foundation for your entire existence. |
